Life Is About Experiences.
I Am An Expert In Personal Development And My Accomplishments Include:
2006
Family: I am a proud Father. I love my family time and always set hard limits at work in support of work life balance.
Big Moves: Moving to the West Coast, a very challenging housing market and new leader in an entirely new work environment.
Finding Balance: With the advent of ‘productivity tools’ corporate demands in personal time I began to focus on boundaries and efficiency.
2010
The Big Payoffs: Led a multi-functional department through the 2010 Winter Olympics
Leaving Behind Self-Doubt: Seeing real results from my leadership style, I began to see evidence of very strong positive results in my workforce. Employees chose to follow me. And, I gave them that choice.
Asking Big Questions: If this is possible, what more can I do? It is true, the only person who limits us, is self.
2011
Leadership: Success and Expertise creates demand. In addition to my day job special projects came my way regularly. In this time period I completed a contract proposal that required design of a new supply-chain-management system within the existing company. We won the initial 5-year contact which paid between $10 to $15 Million per year. This contract was renewed for two additional 5-year terms and is still active today.
The Importance Of A Future Focus: As we see success and ever increasing demand for our talents it can become easy to focus on the current wins. However, looking up from the desk out to the horizon in front of you is critical. Look where you want to go, not where you are.
2012
A New 7-Year Cycle: Our products are delivered immediately
What Got You Here Won’t Get You There: Explain the benefit of your products
A Lesson On Credibility: I began a new and larger role once again. This time in a new department with over 200 unionized employees. Ask me how to successfully lead with ZERO credibility. Or, ask me how I came from zero credibility to award winning employer, go-to person for customers and communities, and GOAT.
2013
Creating Possibilities: Expanding the scope of what is possible with our build-in creative abilities. How far can we take our ability to create?
Freedom and a Higher Purpose: I founded a corporation called HSBanff to protect Banff National Park. I received funding commitments for the entire 3.5Billion Dollar Project. Oh, and this was my side gig.
Media &Sales Presentations: My first public sales pitch for the project was a disaster. Sales presentations are MUCH different than public outreach and operations meetings. Begging the rich for money requires a skill set all in its own.
2016
Leveraging Technical Expertise: Our products are delivered immediately
The Balanced Brain: Through my working life I have always sought out growth. Education. And, roles where my learning continued. The demands of our modern world place a heavy emphasis on the analytical mind. Technical skill. For my own personal wellbeing, I sought out balance. The balanced brain. I attribute my ongoing successes to this focus.
The Death of The People Pleaser: At this point I set aside my people-pleasing tendencies forever. I struggled for many years with self-confidence issues and this lead to a tendency to hold room for others and give. For my continued growth this had to end.
2017
Top Employer: A time filled with gifts and celebration. I was chosen to accept a “Top 50 Employer” award on behalf of our company.
Wins: It may surprise you to hear that my salary did not keep pace with my positions. Following years of having compensation issues I was finally able to see the company take the required steps to correct this. It would take them 5-years of strong increases to align my compensation with my work. Seeing success in this area took a special mindset and focus on my part.
Losses: People change and relationships can come and go. This year I delt with on of the most unexpected changes that would impact my life. Divorce. I know that many people are impacted by this. All I can say is there are no winners that come out of a relationship breakdown – whether personal or work relationships.
2018
Business Abroad: Special projects being passed to me increased my international work travel. Could anyone use a guide on “How to Maximize Your Business Trip To Paris”? or Dubai?
Too Many Hats Too Much Travel: Firstly, don’t get me wrong. I love travel. By now I am working 80 hours per week. From different ends of the country and different countries. I would drop my daughter off Sunday evening at 9pm, hit the redeye, try to sleep in flight and be in 9am meetings on the opposite end of the country. Sometimes multiple times each week. And no, the time zones did not work in my favor.
Work Life Balance: Success can create challenges. Once you are in demand, the demands increase. Unless you can clone yourself you have to become a master of setting boundaries. If this isn’t enough, become a master of change.
2022
Retirement: I could have kept going. I mean working for someone else. The changes in our world beginning in 2020 gave me opportunity to refocus on what I am best at and what I want to do with my life. This brings us here. A young retirement, employees that did not want to see me go, and a fresh canvas ahead. Will you join me?
Helping Others: I have always had a people focus in my leadership style. Companies don’t win, or succeed for that matter, without really good people. And no one single person can do it all. I was always a leader. Never a manager or a boss.
Exciting New Beginnings: Join me on this new journey. Help me form what this becomes. I have a collection of skills, abilities, and experience – what I am looking for is your input.

The Tests, The Reports, The Classifications
I am not a fan of labels. I made a career of breaking stereotypes and a life of achieving what others said I could not do. I pushed back on attempts to pigeon hole and I maintained a curiosity about the unique gifts that I carry. Here is a collection of classifications, the few that had some meaning for me and may help you understand how I am built.

Have a strong desire for freedom, strongly dislike labels and seek experiences. I have also undergone far too many assessments on my “high performer” track in my careers. The most important thing you could know about me is this:
I have failed, and failed often. I ALWAYS get back up and try again, building on knowledge and experiences along the way.
I have everything it takes to help you feel heard, succeed, and have fun!
And, A Few Things Very Few People Knew About Me. Until Now
Leveraging The Untapped Subtle Human Abilities
HAVE YOU EVER “SLEPT ON A PROBLEM” AND AWOKE WITH THE SOLUTION?
I often joke that I am a “closet clairvoyant” and “closet artist”. I say this because our corporate world does not reward these types of gifts.
Consequently, the strengths which really differentiated me from my peers were my creative and problem solving abilities. And, I didn’t need to tell anyone how I did it. I needed to produce results.
That I do.
